Buchholz Indentation Hardness Tester 1
Description:
It carries out indentation test on the coating film under specified experimental conditions by using an indenter (metal wheel with sharp blade made of hard tool steel) with a specific size and shape. Measurement results of indentation length are expressed in millimeters. This method is only applicable to the measurement of coatings with plastic deformation behavior, and should not be used for the evaluation of coatings with elastic deformation behavior.
